In today’s post we will look at interesting statistics on the use of FinTech services by the “Baby Boomers” generation.

The “Baby Boomers” generation are people born in 1946-1964. Another name is “post-war baby boomers”.

These people are now between 54 and 74 years old. Therefore, we are talking about the elderly, before or after retirement.

Interestingly, as the Salesforce report shows:

“62% of Baby Boomers use payment services provided by FinTech companies”

We should add, that the study was conducted in the United States, and there are many difference we will not describe here. We can only speculate about the same metrics in Poland.

We can only assume, that the percentage of people using similar services in our country would be lower, which is unlikely to raise a wave of objections. Even if it was reduced by 20%, 42% remains, which is still a large group. People from the post-war baby boom generation constitute approx. 15% of the Polish population, i.e. approx. 6 million, of which 42% (over 2 million people) may be a potential user of this type of services. Quite a lot!

We should also remember that the new generation of potential customers already uses various types of FinTech services.

In the near future, it will become necessary to use newer and newer solutions for the banking sector. Banks all over the world are aware of the need to adapt to the needs of today’s customers. In our country, Santander Bank Polska was the first bank in Poland to implement innovative CRM solutions from Salesforce, thus setting new standards in customer service. It is only a matter of time before other banks will follow.
