The end of Process Builder – what’s next?

ME PL Solution Salesforce CRM The end of Process Builder - what's next?

Perhaps some of you have read about the new version of Salesforce CRM. The main topic is the resignation from Process Builder in favor of Flow. This is what this post will be about.

The end of the Process Builder in Salesforce CRM

While Process Builder is still available, there are already servers with new updates that do not have it. For those who miss their favorite automation tool, here is a screenshots from a time when Process Builder was still available:

A moment of reflection prompts the question: what now? What about all my automations that were made with Process Builder?

Salesforce is preparing a tool – Convert to Flow, which will be available to you in the settings.

We tested this tool. It works. Processes created in Process Builder could be viewed as Flow for a long time. We expected such a conversion to be possible. The largest CRM service Provider in the World cares about its customers and when it changes or resigns from something, provides right tools to help.

Replacing Process Builder with Flow

Converting the automation created in Process Builder to Flow using the aforementioned tool gives good results. Thanks to the conversion, we will transfer the processes to Flow 1:1. Why should we limit ourselves though? It is worth considering restructuring your processes and adjusting them to the possibilities offered by Flow.

Manual conversion?

Flow from before the update may come to mind. Flow are faster and don’t trigger logic again. Another suggestion is to combine previously used logics that are similar and create one Flow out of them.

If you have one or two small processes, you will not see much difference. However, we have seen situations where a company had 10 processes on one object, each with multiple stages. Manual reconstruction of the processes that we performed for them accelerated their organization. We also reduced the cases where the system did not perform as expected.

While the situation can be scary – especially if we’ve invested a lot of time and money in adjusting our system, there are many partners on the market who will be happy to help. One of them is ME PL Solution. Contact us today and get ready for the end of Process Builder.
